Aren't palm oil plantations forests, too? So, why is this bad?

Nahh here's the problem with palm oil trees. So basically palm oil trees are popular and stuff and are used to make other goods, therefore there is a demand for people to plant them in forests so they can be burned down for usage in their products. The problem isn't the palm trees, the problem is when people cut them down and burn them or whatever they do to get the good stuff, it creates what we call, "deforestation." Meaning wildlife is at harm because their habitat is being taken away and stuff like that. If people left the palm oil trees alone, yeah it would be completely fine since they're just a normal forest. Fire + palm oil tree = bad
