To find the answer to this question you will have to use the pythagorean theorem. a squared + b squared = c squared. The hypotenuse is c squared and the legs are either a squared or b squared which ever one you prefer. In my equation I'm going to use the leg as a squared, so this is the equation:
2^2+b^2=3^2
So do the rest like a two-step equation
2^2=4
3^2=9
3+b^2=9
subtract 3 from 9
b^2=6
divide by 2
b=3
