Anyone can go to the store and by over the counter drugs. They’re the drugs you get when you’re sick or have a cold. (Ibuprofen, mucinex, cough syrups, Advil, etc)

Recreational drugs are illegal drugs that people take/use for fun and just to get high. They don’t need them but they use them illegally anyway. They can be drugs like cocaine, heroin, meth, etc. OR they can be prescribed drugs that people get when they DONT have a prescription. So they’re still taking them illegally cuz the drugs aren’t meant for them. Those can be drugs like OxyContin, hydrocodone, Vicodin, morphine, tramadol etc

Prescription drugs are drugs you get from your doctor. You go to see them and they prescribe you a drug for whatever problem you have and you can only get a specific amount for a specific period of time. They’re not meant for anyone else to take, only you.

Prescribed drugs is prescribed by your doctor you will get a hand written prescription from the doctors so you can get the stuff that you need.

Recreational drug is a use of a psychoactive drug to induce an altered state of consciousness for pleasure, by modifying the perceptions, feelings, and emotions of the user.

Over- the- counter drugs are medicines sold directly to a consumer without a prescription from a healthcare professional. This can lead to drug abuse.
