A boycott is typically where a group of people come together and protest for a cause, whether it be social or political.
A strike, on the other hand, is when people don't go to work usually because of pay or the workplace itself.

a strike is unofficial and lead by a group of individuals. a boycott is official and lead by a country, and a strike is refusing to do something while a boycott is more like you refuse to buy something
