True or false Evaporation is an example of a chemical change

This is false.

Evaporation is an example of a physical change. This is because the change is reversible and the substance is the exact same.

For example, chopping wood it a physical change because it's still wood.

But burning it is a chemical change because it is no longer wood after is it burned, it's a completely different substance.

False. Evaporation is a physical change it is not a chemical change. It is a physical change because it is going from the liquid phase to the gas phase. It is not a chemical change because it is still made of two hydrogen atoms and an oxygen atom.
