In order to dilate the segment EF in relation to the center point C, we need to calculate the distance of the center point to each point of the segment, then we extend this distance until it reaches 3 times the original distance.

For example, if the segment CE is 'x' and the segment CF is 'y', we have that the segment CE' is 3x and the segment CF' is 3y:
