While shopping, jenna decided to purchase a bag of coffee bearing the fair trade certified logo. what does this mean?

The fair trade logo means that the coffee was made without exploiting the producers so that most likely the producers would have a co-op or some other collective type of organization in which they would prepare the coffee and be paid a fair wage. I helped to import some fair trade organic coffee from Guatemala to Canada a few years ago. Fair trade and organic usually go together as the producers stress quality rather than just volume.
