Target has a $125 bicycle on sale for 20% off. With you Target card you get another 5% discount. What are the discounts and the sale price of the bicycle?

The way to solve the problem is to multiply the original price of the bike which is $125.00 times .20 which means 20% when you do that you should get $25.00. To find the discount from the Target card you need to take $125.00 and multiply it by .05 which means 5% when you do that you should get $6.25. To find the price of the bike when you use both of the discounts you use the original price of the bike $125.00 subtract it by $25.00 which should equal $100.00 then you subtract that by $6.25 that should equal $93.75.
