were a group of sea
-raiders (privateers) authorized by Queen Elizabeth I of England. The
Sea Dogs
also engaged in slave trade and were also known as Elizabethan Pirates.

The Sea Dogs were a group of sea-raiders (privateers) authorized by Queen Elizabeth I of England. The Sea Dogs also engaged in slave trade and were also known as Elizabethan Pirates.
