Answer: 50 students

The total number of students in a speech contest is 96

Yesterday, 1/6 of them gave their speeches

This implies that 1/6 x 96 gave their speeches yesterday

The total number of students that gave their speeches yesterday is

1/6 x 96 = 16 students

Therefore, 16 students gave their speeches yesterday

The number of students yet to give their speeches = 96 - 16

= 80

Today, 3/8 of the remaining students gave their speeches

Remaining students = 80

3/8 x 80

= 240 / 8

= 30 students

The number of students that gave their speeches today is 30 students

The number of students that have not given their speeches = 80 - 30

The number of students that have not given their speeches = 50 students

The answer is 50 students
