Do we made a scale drawing of a tower using a scale of 1 foot equals 2 1/8 mm. if the actual height of the tower is 56 feet, what is the towers height enjoys drawing?

To solve this problem, first I will write the sacle farctor in decimals so:


1\colon2(1)/(8)\to1\colon2.125

Now we can made a rule of 3 to solve the problem so:


\begin{gathered} 1\to2.125 \\ 56\to x \end{gathered}

and the equation will be:


\begin{gathered} x=(56\cdot2.125)/(1) \\ x=119 \end{gathered}

So the tower is 119 m height
