What do you do if a program on a PC is completely unresponsive? What about a program on a Mac?

you can shut the whole computer down and / or restart it .

You can open the task manager and click "end process" killing all the programs functions until it is re-opened. On a mac, you can use "force quit" or simply restart the system.
