Jordan went to the store to buy a bicycle that was advertised for $50. When he arrived, he learned that the model he wanted was sold out, but there was another bicycle available that cost 15% more.

To get the new price of the new bicycle:

Take the $50 of the old bicycle and multiply it by 15%
50 * 15% or 0.15 = 7.5

Now take the $50 of the old bicycle and add it by the number you got after multiplying it by 15%
50 + 7.5 = $57.5

Since the new bicycle is 15% more than the old bicycle that was $50 is $57.5 since the new one is 15% more than the price of the old one.

Hope this helps!
