Asepsis aims to remove microorganisms in the surgical field. There should be zero microorganism count in the area to avoid infection. Just properly wear the surgical gown and gloves inside the surgical area, do proper surgical handwashing, trim nails short, use proper PPE when there is risk of fluid exposure, identify sterile and unsterile areas, keep doors and biohazard waste containers closed. Don’t wear PPE outside the surgical area, don’t touch unsterile areas with gloved hands, don’t wear cracked nail polish, don’t use sterile water or saline 24 hours after opening, and don’t go to work if sick.
