Solve:

-4(x + 3) = 2x - 5 + 2(6x + 4)

Operating the parentheses:

-4x - 12 = 2x - 5 + 12x + 8

Adding 12:

-4x = 2x - 5 + 12x + 8 + 12

Collecting like terms:

-4x = 14x + 15

Subtracting 14x:

-18x = 15

Dividing by -18:


x=(15)/(-18)

Simplifying by 3:


x=-(5)/(6)
