let the number of children's tickets is x and adult's tickets is y
x + y = 375, x = 375 - y ........(1)
1.5x + 6y = 900............(2)
1.5(375-y) + 6y = 900
562.5 - 1.5y + 6y = 900
4.5y = 337.5
y = 75
x = 300
