The given line has a slope of -3. Therefore a parallel line will also have a slope of -3.

The parallel line passes through the point (6,1), therefore its equation in point-slope form is

(y-1)/(x-6) =-3
That is,
y-1 = -3(x-6)

Answer: y-1 = -3(x-6)
