The WBS organizes the team's work into manageable sections; it visually defines the scope of the project into manageable chunks that a project team could understand, such levels of the work breakdown and roles and responsibilities of each member; and the firm's structure. It says who's in charge of several support departments, their roles, and who reports to the officer in charge. A simple way to look at the WBS is " An outline or map of the specific project"
