Diameter of base of cone is 4 in

Radius = diameter / 2 = 4/2 = 2 in

Hieght of the cone = 6 in

AB= 2 and BC = 6 , we need to find AC

ABC forms a right angle triangle, use pythagoren theorem

AC^2= AB^2 + BC^2


AC^2 = 2^2 + 6^2 = 4+ 36 = 40

TAke square root on both sides

AC=
√(40) =2√(10)
