What is the centripetal force keeping the Earth in orbit?

I found how far the earth travels in one year (340,000,000), The Earths Tangential velocity (29814 m/s), and the centripetal acceleration of the earth (5.928e-3 m/s^2), but what is the centripetal force keeping the earth in orbit?

Answer:

The force due gravity is the centripetal force.

Explanation:

A centripetal force can be defined as the force that makes a body to follow a curve path.

So, in this case, the centripetal force is the force that makes Eart orbit around the Sun.

If you think this through, you'll deduct that the force due gravity is the centripetal force, because it's responsible of the Earth orbit around the Sun.
