Identify the figurative language and define it. He trampled all over my feelings when he told me he didn’t want to go to the dance with me.

the statement “he trampled all over my feelings” is a hyperbole. This is because he is not actually trampling on her feeings it is an exaggeration

firstly, it is important to mark that figurative language would appeal to the senses. It might allow the reader to have an insight into the topic. This is not literal so it needs to be understood and interpreted.
It might be said that "trampled all over my feelings". He is not actually crushing her feelings but it is a representation of she is feeling. She had been treated heavily so now she is sad.
