If a recipe needs
(5)/(4) cups of sugar, and you are going to triple the recipe, you'd have to multiple that amount by 3. So basically :

(5)/(4) ×
(3)/(1) is
(15)/(4). That's the answer in fraction form, at least. In number form, the answer would be 3.75. Once this number is converted into fraction form once again. it would be
3 (3)/(4)
