1 ticket costs $27, 2 tickets cost $54, 3 cost $81, 4 cost $108, and 5 cost $135.

There is a $27 difference between each ticket above or below

Answer:

Given,

The cost of 3 tickets = $ 81,

So, the cost of each ticket =
(81)/(3) = $ 27,

Let the price of each ticket is same,

So, the cost of x tickets ( say y ) = 27x

⇒ y = 27x

∵ For x = 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 by making the table,

x 1 2 3 4 5

y 27 54 81 108 135

Thus, the price of 3 tickets is $ 81, price of 4 tickets is $ 108 and price of 5 ticket is $ 135

That is,

The equation that shows the given situation is,

y = 27x,

y ∝ x

Hence, there is a proportional relation between number of ticket and cost of the ticket.
