Because each ticket costs 1 and she spends 8 she would be buying 8 tickets
She has 8 friends so each one would get 1 ticket

Hey!
If 1 ticket costs $1 and you spend $8 on them and then distribute them evenly among 8 friends, you give each friend 1 ticket.
8 ÷ 8 = 1
