Answer: r = -4s + 12
2r + 8s = 24 Subtract 8s from both sides
2r = 24 - 8s Divide by 2 to both sides
r = 12 - 4s Answer!
r = -4s + 12 Answer!
The last two steps are both correct. However, r = -4s + 12 is more proper.
