1. Which best explains why Native Americans were pushed to the Great Plains and forced onto reservations?

They were pushed onto the reservations because 1) it would open up land in the eastern US for European American settlers and 2) the bison was the main source of economy for the natives and when they were pushed to the point of extermination they had to leave. The government decided that the depletion of the bisons was necessary so that the Great Plains can be divided and distributed to the Anglo farmers.
