What would the average of 83 and 36 be?

average = (83 + 36)/ 2 = 119/2 = 59.5

When figuring out the average you ADD up all the numbers you have, then DIVIDE by how many you add.

Ex:
83+36=119, then
(119)/(2)= 59.5

Therefore the average is 59.5, and if it's rounded to the nearest tenth it's 60.
