3x+4y=19 and 3x+6y=33 solve by elimination

Just subtract the 1st equation from the 2nd, as follows:

3x+6y=33
-(3x+4y=19)
-----------------
2y= 14, and y = 7. Sub 7 for y in either of the original equations to obtain the value of x. Write your answer in the form (x, 7).
