Explanation:

Given: The percent of general population has a disease = 7%

⇒ The percent of general population has no disease =
100\%-7\%=93\%

Also, The test for the disease is accurate 70% of the time.

Probability that test is accurate = 0.7

⇒ The test for the disease is not accurate 30% of the time.

Probability that test is not accurate = 0.3

Now, the probability of testing positive for the disease is given by :-


0.07*0.7+0.93*0.3=0.328
