A balanced diet means eating food that has the right amount of calories, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins, and other essential nutrients. It is important for bees and humans because a balanced diet generates the right amount of energy needed to perform their tasks for the whole day. For example, bees need energy for flight and they will eat lots of nectar so they will both have energy for flight and have a surplus for the colony. Humans do the same. They will eat three times a day so we can move our bodies to do tasks we want to achieve for each day.
