What is the difference between dispensable and indispensable amino acids?

Indispensable amino acids is another term for essential amino acids. These cannot be synthesized in the body so they must be supplied by diet or supplements. These amino acids are: valine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine and tryptophan

Dispensable amino acids or non essential amino acids can be produced by the body. These are arginine, glutamine, tyrosine, cysteine, glycine, proline, serine and ornithine, alanine, asparagine and aspartate
