The answer would be: C. -5 - (-14)

When determining the distance between two points, you need to subtract the second point from the first point. In this case, -14 will be the x1 and -5 will be x2.
Then the distance would be: x2-x1= -5- (-14)= 9

This result says that if you want to move from -14 to -5 you have to move 9 step to the right.
