Hey there, Faithfuljoshua!

It's already given that the perimeter is 12 meters.
The length of the rectangle is 3 times more than it's width.
To do this, we can use an equation. Let's use the variable x
So, 3x + x = 12
3x being the length
x being the width
Now we solve for x
3x + x = 12
4x = 12 (Now we divide both sides by 4)
x = 3
Now, we have to replace the x values for 3
So, the length is 3x changes to 3(3) = 9 meters
And the width is x being 3 meters.
