Hey there!

3x+6y=12

Divide both sides by 3 and your equation would now look like:
x+2y= 4
Move the x to the other side
2y= -x+4
Seprate the y by dividing both sides by 2
y=
(1)/(2)x+2

3x + 6y = 12

3x(-3x) + 6y = 12 (-3x)

6y = -3x + 12

6(y)/6 = (-3x + 12)/6

y = -1/2x + 2

hope this helps
