Three ways an atom can form bonds with other atoms

1) Forming a covalent bond by the equal sharing of electrons.

2) Forming a coordinate bond by the unequal sharing of electrons.

3) Forming an ionic bond by giving or taking electrons.

This was on my study guide, I hope it helps.

Second way can be forming covalent bond
And finally, the third way could be forming Co-ordinate bond
