Answer:

A) A contraction

B) A scale factor of 1/2

Explanation:

The pre-image is LMNK and the image is L'M'N'K' and because the image is smaller than the pre-image, it is a contraction.

For the scale factor, we know it has to be at least less than 1 because it is a contraction. Notice the pre-image points are always exactly in the middle of the pre-image point and the origin, so we can assume that the scale factor is 1/2.
