the answer is D. 2 1/3. it is kind of hard to explain but here is how I always do it... I would multiply the 4 by the 5 and get 20. then add the 1 to the 20 to get 21/4. then I would put it in my calculator... I have a scientific calculator that I put the numbers in fraction form and the calculator will give the answer in fraction form. and I think it will even give you the mixed number fraction but I'm not entirely sure. I did not use my scientific calculator to answer this problem
