Answer:

  1. Check if the denominator has any radicals. If so, multiply both numerator and denominator with the radical to remove it.
  2. Check if the numerator and denominator have any common factors. If so, factor them out and remove them.
  3. Check if the numerator is greater than the denominator. If so, change fraction into a mixed number.

Explanation:

Examples for each step:

  1. (2)/(√(3) ) = (2)/(√(3) ) * (√(3) )/(√(3) ) = (2√(3) )/(3)

  2. (10)/(15) = (5(2))/(5(3)) = (2)/(3)

  3. (6)/(5) = 1(1)/(5)

Answer:

Most math teachers would very much be happy to have the most version of the answer. For example:

(4)/(8) = (1)/(2)

You do not really have to simplify a fraction
