I'm pretty sure its, x=3 because 8x=24 means that you multiply 8 by x which is 24. So to get that answer since you are multiplying you do the opposite and divide 8 by 24 or if your using a calculator its 24 divided by 8, then you get your answer as 3. Now since its algebra you can check your work. 8 times 3=24, so x=3. I hope that helped :D
