In this case, we have that the sample space is the total number of persons:

1. Women: 7

2. Men: 3

Then, the number of outcomes in the sample space is women + men = 7 + 3 = 10.

We can say the event is a woman in that sample space, we have 7 women.

Therefore, the event that a person is a woman is:
