Given that the length, L, and width, W, of the cookie are

\begin{gathered} L=(3)/(2)in \\ W=2in \end{gathered}

Since the shape of the cookie is estimated to be a square,

The formula to find the area, A, of the cookie is given below

A=L* W

Substitute the values into the formula above

\begin{gathered} A=L* W \\ A=(3)/(2)*2=3\text{ square inches} \\ A=3\text{ square inches} \end{gathered}

Hence, the estimated total area, A, of the cookie is 3 square inches.
