Listeriosis

The symptoms of this disease include diarrhea, nausea, fever, and muscle aches. Pregnant women can result in stillbirth. Persons with low immunity such as infants, people with immunodeficiency disease and elderly can develop meningitis and bacterium as a result of the illness.
The disease is caused by the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. To kill the bacteria which is mainly spread through contaminated food, processed food like soft cheese and unpasteurized milk, ensure food is cooked safely and properly.
