A scatterplot shos the relationship between 2 quantitavie variables. The form can be linear, quadratic, etc and the direction can be positive or negative, which is related with the relationship between variable x and y. The direction is positive when the variable y increases as x increases. In the other case, when variable y decreases but x increases, the direction is negative.

In our case, we can see that both x and y increases, so the direction is positive and the form is (almost) linear
