The
War
of
1812
began on June 18,
1812
and lasted until February 18, 1815.
One
result
of this was the development of strong hostility towards republicanism and American influences throughout western Canada.

Hey there!
German and U.S signed a treaty
The treaty said that each country would have their borders made the same as they were before the war. So, neither Britain or the U.S. gained any territory
from each other.
