Hello! So, 11/2 cups is simplified as 5 1/2 cups. In order to find out how many 1/8 cups Jenn will need to scoop, all you have to do is divide each number by 1/8. When you divide fractions, you keep the first fraction the same, change division into multiplication, and flip the second fraction over into it's reciprocal. So 2 / 1/8 becomes 2/1 * 8/1. Water: 16
Brown Rice: 44
