The perimeter of a rectangular parking lot is 296 m if the width of the parking lot is 65 m , what is its length

Answer:

perimeter(p)=2(l+b)

2(l+b)=296

where b = 65

2(l+65)=296

2l+130=296

2l=296_130

2l=166

l=166÷2

l= 83

So the width is 65, so two sides are each 65m long. So multiply 65*2 which is 130. this means that the other two sides need to equal 130 when added, so divide 130/2 which is 65
