The ethnic Kazakhs from Mongolia (as well as from Turkey, Iran and China, among other) decided to migrate back to their initial settlements after initially leaving for their native homeland in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1991. This was because they faced discrimination for not speaking Russian.
