An estimate helps you place the decimal point because when you place 3.7 and 5.1 to multiply you have to count how many spaces of numbers there are. So the answer is 18.87.

3.7 × 5.1 = 18.87
You can estimate by rounding.
4 × 5 = 20
When You Estimate, You'll Know That You'll Need To Place The Decimal Point Some Place Where It Is Closer to 20. (In Between 18.87)
