When we heat a solid substance and when it reaches its melting point then molecules start to vibrate more and as a result the molecules move from their initial place.

This leads to change in the position of a molecules. As a result, the intermolecular bonds will break.

So, when melting point of solid comes then it finally changes from solid state to liquid state.
