check the picture below.

notice, the blue line is solid, because ⩾ includes the values along the border, whilst the red line is dashed, because < doesn't include the border values.

now, the red area is the "true" region for the first inequality, whilst the yellow section is the "true" region for the second inequality.

now, the orange section, is where the red and yellow intersect, where the true region for the first one, matches with the true region for the second one, that's the solution set for them.
